Explanation

The purpose of the Seeding Points is to seed player/teams in the first round of the National Championship that follows the publication of this list.

Seeding Points are awarded for a player's finishing position in the National Singles, Doubles, Mixed Doubles and Triples Championships. To obtain a National Seeding a player must take part in at least 3 of these tournaments in the last two years.

A supplementary list showing those players who have gained points in 1 or 2 tournaments appears below the Seeding list.

Note: For the Senior Seeding list, the results of the last two National Senior Doubles Championship are added to the points obtained in the above Championships. For the Women's Seeding list, the results of the last two National Women's Triples Championship are added to the points obtained in the above Championships. These two lists are used for the team seeding in the Senior Doubles Championship and Women's Triples Championship respectively.

Points Allocation

From October 2022 the seeding points awarded in National Championships have been increased. There are now 24 steps instead of the previous 12 steps.
